JAMB is the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, which is responsible for the administration of tertiary education admissions in Nigeria.
JAMB is responsible for administering the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which is used as a nationwide entrance examination for all Nigerian universities and polytechnics.

The first thing you need is a personal e-mail address. You cannot register for JAMB without having one. Once you have your e-mail address, go to the link below and follow the instructions to create yours.

- Mobile Phone Number:
A mobile phone number is one of the most important requirements you must have if you want to register for 2022/2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). If you have not registered, this is the time to do so.
- Nationality And State Of Origin:
You must be a Nigerian citizen and resident in Nigeria. You cannot register if you are an international student or resident outside Nigeria. It means that if you are from another country but studying in Nigeria, you cannot use your passport to register for the exam.
You must use your Nigerian passport or NID card for this purpose. You can use either of these documents; however, your transcript must be sent to your university’s registrar’s office before they can issue you with an ID card.
- Create your JAMB Profile
To be able to register for the exam, you must first create your JAMB profile. You will have to fill in all the required details.
Once your profile has been created, you will need to fill in all the necessary information such as name, date of birth, sex and other details. You may also be required to upload a passport photo that meets the requirements set by JAMB.

- National Identification Number (NIN)
A JAMB candidate must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to be admitted into any of the participating institutions. The candidate can obtain the NIN from any of the following offices.

- National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
The candidate is expected to produce his/her original birth certificate if he/she is below 18 years and an affidavit for those above 18 years. The candidate can fill out the form and submit it at any of these places for validation. Once the NIN is validated, you can proceed with registration on the JAMB website.
- O’level/A’level Result
The applicant must possess a minimum of five credits in English Language and Mathematics subjects at no more than two sittings. The applicant must also possess credit passes in three other subjects to be considered for admission into the programmes.
In addition to the above, applicants are expected to have at least a pass in WASC/GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent.
