Lancaster University College Membership Fee
Memberships operate slightly differently depending on whether you are a current student, staff member, or community member.
Regardless of the subscription you selected, you can use the fitness suite by completing the online gym induction as soon as you have paid. Before taking the induction, you should buy a membership because you will have to do it again if you are not enrolled as a member.
Having successfully passed the applicable induction, your membership will be activated. Students and staff will use their University ID card, which will be activated by the Reception Team on your first visit.
The Reception Team will give Associate Members and Community Members a card during their initial visit. You will need it with you every time you visit as it will give you access to all the necessary facilities. You’re now ready to go!
While you are at the university sports center, their fully trained, knowledgeable staff will be available to show you how to use any equipment you are unsure about and to answer any questions you may have.
Your membership covers only the activities that your membership makes possible. You are welcome to invite a visitor, but they will need to pay a one-time “Pay As You Play” fee.
Additionally, visitors must register with them and ensure they finish any necessary inductions, such as if they plan to use the gym.
Everyone can still participate in activities not part of their membership type on a pay-as-you-play basis. This means that while you can reserve activities, there will be a cost.
Since you cannot downgrade your membership, start with the most basic level and upgrade whenever you choose. Alternatively, you can buy a single-term membership, and after that period has passed, you are free to select a lower-level membership as you see fit.
